Completing the original dream of the school’s Founders
COMPLETING THE DREAM, the Campaign for Santa Margarita Catholic High School, seeks to build on traditions, sustain excellence, ensure a lasting legacy, and complete the original dream of our Founders. After several years of careful planning and preparation, the Campaign for SMCHS has been organized to provide the financial resources necessary to complete construction of several critical facilities through the four remaining milestones of the school’s updated Master Plan. Through this campaign, SMCHS, like its students, is striving to meet its full potential.
MILESTONE ONE:
  • State-of-the-art Aquatic Center with 50-meter Olympic qualifying swimming pool, bleacher seating for 400, shower facilities and concession area. COMPLETED!
  • 114 additional parking spots added to the senior parking lot. COMPLETED!

MILESTONE TWO:
  • Athletic Complex to house football offices, multi-sport team rooms and coaches offices, wrestling practice area, additional classroom space, general meeting space, and storage.
  • Will feature a state-of-the-art Weight Room, Fitness Center and Training facility.
  • Renovation of current locker rooms.
  • Creation of interior lobby for the Moiso Pavilion to feature SMCHS Hall of Fame.
MILESTONE THREE:
  • Classroom building to replace portable facilities. In addition to 10 new classrooms this building will house Academic Counseling offices, a new College and Career Center, Auxiliary Studies Program facilities, and Eagle Television studios.
  • Remodel of the G building first floor to include four new science labs and a new Campus Ministry center.

MILESTONE FOUR:
  • State-of-the-art Performing Arts Center with theatre seating and performing arts classrooms and practice facilities (band, orchestra, choral, and drama)

As we at Santa Margarita Catholic High School celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are pursuing the dream of completing our campus as envisioned by the Founders of our school. In doing so, we desire to provide the very best academic, spiritual, athletic and extracurricular opportunities possible for every current and future student. Through this comprehensive building project, which calls for reaching four major milestones, our efforts will positively impact and benefit the life of every student on campus both inside and outside of the classroom and will ensure our position as the preeminent High School in Orange County for generations to come.
